Every year there is some kind of toy that everyone wants to have. The one that kids are asking for and fighting over at the parties. I may be late to the party on this one, but for our pool the toy of the summer is the Reusable Water Balloon! There have been major battles over them since we pulled them out on the first day the pool was open. If you haven’t seen them yet, they are basically small silicon balls that split in half to open and be submerged in water. When they are full, they close on their own and are sealed by tiny magnets that line the edges of each side of the halfs. You can through them or just bust them over someone’s head and then refill them as many times as you want.
The great thing about them is that there is no cleanup! You don’t have to spend hours bending over to pick up broken water balloon scraps or worry about missing them and harming the environment. You also save yourself the sore fingers from trying to tie water balloons until your fingers are raw! They have been an absolute game changer this summer so far and I’d highly recommend them to you for your summer parties and pool time. The only problem you will have is buying enough of them. They are a little costly at a couple bucks a piece, but I’d gladly pay that over tying balloons hunched over a water spigot any day.
